By using rntobsn.net you accept the terms below. They cover what this site is, what its rankings mean, and the limits of what you should rely on it for. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What This Site Is

RN to BSN is an independent reference and ranking site about RN-to-BSN completion programs. It is not a school. It does not teach, admit, advise, enroll or process applications, it awards no credit and no credential, and it has no role in any admissions decision. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated on behalf of any university, college, government agency, accreditor, certifying body or board of nursing named on it. Institution names, program names and credentials appear for identification and comparison, and belong to their owners.

Information, Not Advice

Nothing here is educational, financial, legal, licensing or career advice, and nothing here creates a professional relationship between you and us. A degree is a real financial commitment, and the decision belongs with the school's admissions and financial aid offices, your employer's tuition benefit administrator and your own board of nursing, not with a web page.

What a Ranking Is

The scores on this site are editorial opinion, produced by applying one published, consistent model to published federal data. They are not a measure of teaching quality, not an accreditation, not an endorsement, and not a prediction of what any individual student will experience. A program's position reflects the factors we chose to weigh and the data those factors could be computed from, both of which are set out on the methodology page along with what the model deliberately leaves out.

The same page explains how programs qualify to be ranked at all: we rank only programs we could confirm run an RN-to-BSN completion track, based on the text of each school's own program page. That confirmation is a judgment made from published evidence and it can be wrong in either direction. A program's absence from this site is not a statement that it does not exist or is not worth considering.

No institution can buy a position, influence a score, or pay to be added to a ranking or removed from one. Sponsored placements, where they appear, are labeled as sponsored and are separate from the rankings.

Accuracy, and What to Verify Before You Rely on It

Program data comes from federal records, principally the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System, and wage data from the BLS OEWS survey, May 2025 release, for Registered Nurses. Program detail comes from each school's own published page, which is linked so you can check it.

This information carries the ordinary limits of published data. Federal datasets are released annually and describe a year that has already finished, so tuition and graduation figures here can lag what a school charges today. Schools change tuition, credit requirements, transfer policies, delivery format and admission rules without notice, and sometimes stop offering a program entirely. We correct what we find, but we cannot warrant that every figure is current, complete or correct at the moment you read it.

Verify anything you would act on directly with the school. In particular, we make no guarantee that a program listed here is currently accredited, currently offered, or open to you where you live:

• Accreditation. CCNE and ACEN both accredit baccalaureate nursing programs, and accreditation is granted, renewed, placed on warning and withdrawn on their timetable, not ours. Confirm a program's current status with the accreditor's own directory before you enroll, especially if you plan to go on to an MSN or rely on tuition reimbursement or federal aid.
• Whether the program still runs. A program in the federal file may have been suspended, merged or closed since the file was published.
• Whether it is available in your state. An online program is not authorized in every state, and state authorization changes. Confirm with the school that it can enroll a student in your state, and with your board of nursing that the program meets its requirements.
• Cost, transfer credit and clinical requirements. Total cost to finish, how much of an ADN transfers, and whether precepted hours are required are decided by the school and should be confirmed with it before you apply or pay anything.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

Wage figures describe what people already working in an occupation were paid across a survey period. They are not a projection and not an offer. That survey reports all registered nurses as one occupation and does not separate pay by degree, so nothing here should be read as what a BSN pays. Nothing on this site promises admission, transfer credit, graduation, licensure, a job, a promotion or any level of income.

Compensation

This site may receive compensation when readers request information from or enroll in programs featured here. Sponsored placements are labeled. Accreditation status, wage data, and program structure data are sourced directly from official records and are reported the same way regardless of partnership status.

Sponsored blocks are served by a third-party advertising partner. If you send a request for information from one, your details go to that partner and to the school, not to us, and what they do with them is governed by their policies. Our privacy policy covers this in more detail.

Acceptable Use

You may read, link to, quote and cite this site freely. You may not:

• copy or scrape the rankings, datasets or written profiles in bulk in order to republish them, whether as a competing site, a data feed or training material;
• present our data or scores as your own, or as though a school or a government agency produced them;
• use automated tools in a way that degrades the site for other people, or attempt to circumvent access controls or security measures;
• use the site for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone's rights.

Quoting a figure or a passage with a link back is fine and welcome. Reproducing whole pages or the underlying dataset is not.

Our Content and Other People's

The written profiles, scoring model, page copy and site design are ours and are protected by copyright. The underlying federal data from IPEDS and the Bureau of Labor Statistics is United States government work and is not ours to restrict. Program descriptions attributed to a school remain that school's material, quoted for comparison and attributed on the page.

Links to Other Sites

We link to schools, federal agencies and accrediting bodies throughout. We do not control those sites, do not endorse everything on them, and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability.

Availability and Warranty

The site is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we may change, move or remove pages, including whole rankings, at any time.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RN to BSN is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, opportunity, savings or data, arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything published on it. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case those limitations apply only so far as the law permits, and nothing here removes rights you cannot waive.

Corrections

If something here is wrong we want to fix it, and because every program links the school page it was read from, a disagreement is usually settled quickly. Send the program and the figure to help@hakia.com. Corrections are made to the underlying data, which updates every page that uses it rather than patching one sentence.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised version.
