Advertising Disclosure
Most pages on this site carry sponsored school listings. This page explains what they are, how to tell them apart from the rankings, and where their links take you.
What the Sponsored Listings Are
The listings are ads for nursing degree programs, served by Esyoh (esyoh.com),
an advertising network for schools. Schools pay Esyoh to appear in them, and this
site may be paid when readers request information from or enroll at a school through them. Which schools
appear, and what each listing says about a school or a program, come from Esyoh and
the school that placed it, not from this site. The schools shown can change with
your location and from one visit to the next.
How to Recognize Them
- A block of sponsored listings has its own heading and an Ad label that links to this page.
- A sponsored mention inside an article's text starts with an Ad tag, which also links here.
- On large screens, a sponsored column labeled Ad sits under the “On This Page” list.
- After you scroll, a ZIP code search for programs can appear at the bottom of the screen. It is labeled Ad, and its close button keeps it closed for the rest of your visit.
Ranked programs never carry those labels. They appear in the rankings with a rank and a score.
What They Do Not Change
A sponsored listing is not scored or ranked, and no school can pay to be added to a ranking, to change its score or to move its position. A program appears in a ranking because we confirmed its completion track for licensed RNs against the school's own pages, and the scores come from federal IPEDS data by the published model on the methodology page, which never sees which schools advertise. A school can appear both in a ranking and in a sponsored listing; one has no bearing on the other.
Where the Links Go
Every link in a sponsored listing, and the ZIP search, goes to Esyoh's site and opens in a new tab. Anything you enter there goes to Esyoh and the schools under their own terms and privacy policies, not ours. These links are marked as sponsored for search engines.
What the Ad Network Receives
To show the listings, Esyoh's script loads from esyoh.com and receives
some information about your visit, such as the page you are on. Our
privacy policy describes exactly what, and
how to block it.
Pages Without Advertising
The pages that explain how the rankings are built and the site's policies carry no advertising and load nothing from the ad network: About, Methodology, Privacy and Terms, and this page.
