Privacy Policy

rntobsn.net is a reference site. There is nothing to sign up for, nothing to log into and no form to fill in, which makes this policy shorter and plainer than most. What follows describes what actually happens when you visit, not what a template assumes.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, license number, employer or any other personal detail. There are no accounts, no newsletter signup and no enquiry forms on this site. Nothing you type reaches us, because the site has nothing of ours to type into. The only boxes you can type into are the ZIP searches in the sponsored listings and in the sponsored bar at the bottom of the screen, and what you type there goes to Esyoh, the network that serves them, not to us. The pages are static files: your browser downloads them and that is the end of the transaction.

We hold no personal information to sell, rent or trade, and we run no retargeting pixels, social trackers, session recording or heat mapping. The sponsored blocks described below are served by an advertising partner whose script does load in your browser; what it receives is covered in that section.

Analytics

This site currently runs no analytics and sets no cookies of its own. No Google Analytics and no tracker of our own is loaded. The one third-party script this site does load is the advertising partner's, which serves the sponsored blocks described below.

We may turn on analytics later to count visits and see which pages get read. If we do, this section will be updated before it goes live to name the provider, the cookies it sets and what it receives.

Sponsored School Listings

Listings labeled Ad are served by Esyoh, at esyoh.com, an advertising network for schools, not by us. On large screens there is also a sponsored column under the contents list, and after you scroll, a ZIP search bar can appear at the bottom of the screen, labeled Ad as well. The about, methodology, privacy, terms and advertising disclosure pages carry none; the disclosure page explains how to tell the listings apart from the rankings.

The listings are loaded from Esyoh's servers by its script running in your browser. To show them, the script sends Esyoh the address of the page you are on and its title and main heading, so the listings match the subject. Your IP address reaches Esyoh with the request, which is how the listings are matched to a rough location, and the script tells Esyoh when a listing comes into view, which is how it counts the ads it has shown. It also works out an identifier from your browser and device settings, such as screen size, time zone and language, and sends it with each request; when you follow a listing, it adds a coded summary of those settings to the link, which Esyoh's own script describes as a check against fraudulent clicks. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser; we checked that in a browser rather than taking it on trust. Blocking esyoh.com stops all of it, and the listings, the column and the bar never appear.

The listings are laid out by a script this site serves itself, which rearranges what Esyoh sends so it matches the page. It sends nothing anywhere and stores nothing. It can report views and clicks of the listings to an analytics service, but none is loaded, so it reports nothing.

What matters most: a request for information you send from a sponsored listing goes to Esyoh and to the school, not to us. Every link in a listing, and the ZIP search, opens Esyoh's site in a new tab. If you fill in a school's enquiry form or a partner's request form, the name, contact details and anything else you enter are handed to that school so it can contact you, usually by phone and email. That is what those forms are for. We never see that information, and we cannot delete it for you — a request to remove it has to go to the school or to the partner that collected it.

Sponsored listings are live on this site today. They are labeled wherever they appear and are never mixed into a ranking.

What Is Stored on Your Device

No cookies. If you use the light and dark toggle in the header, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key theme so the site does not open in the wrong colors next time. If you close one of the bars at the bottom of the screen, a note saying so is kept in session storage so it stays closed for the rest of your visit: esy-sticky-dismissed for the sponsored ZIP search bar, and rntobsn:sticky-cta-dismissed for the site's own rankings bar on pages without advertising. Session storage clears when you close the tab. None of these values ever leaves your device, and clearing your browser storage removes them.

Server Logs

The site is served as static files by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, which keeps the standard access and security logs any web host keeps to tell a real visitor from an attack. Those logs are handled under Cloudflare's own terms. We do not use them to build profiles of visitors.

Links to Schools and Other Sites

Every program on this site links out to the school's own page, and our pages cite federal sources including IPEDS and the Bureau of Labor Statistics along with accrediting bodies. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site, subject to their privacy policy and their trackers, not ours. We have no control over and take no responsibility for what they collect.

How This Site Makes Money

This site may receive compensation when readers request information from or enroll at schools through its sponsored listings, which are served by the ad network Esyoh and each labeled Ad. Those listings are not scored or ranked and cannot affect any ranking. Accreditation status, wage data, and program structure data are sourced directly from official records and are reported the same way whether or not a school advertises.

The sponsored listings, and the affiliate links in them, are how this site supports itself. What it earns from them pays for the research, the data updates and the hosting behind every page, and keeps the site free to read, with no account and no paywall.

Being precise about what that means for your data: we operate no lead forms of our own and pass no visitor information to schools or advertising partners. What Esyoh receives, it collects through its own script, as described above, and anything a school learns about you, you gave it directly.

Children

This site is written for licensed nurses and other adults choosing a degree program. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them, which is straightforward here, since we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Requests and Questions

Because the site holds no personal data about visitors, there is in practice nothing for us to look up, return or erase. The exception is any email you choose to send us: if you write to us we keep that message in order to reply to it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Changes to This Policy

If what happens on the site changes, this page changes first and the date at the top moves. The changes most likely to trigger that are switching analytics on and switching sponsored listings on.
